The town of Parapat is located inland in the northern part of the island of Sumatra, the sixth largest island in the world (about 470,000 km²) and the largest island belonging entirely to Indonesia. Indonesia should be lucky for having this small popular town, PARAPAT.

Parapat is a small town near side of Lake Toba, as a main gate to reach SAMOSIR island. There are 2 ferry jetties you can use to cross the lake using ferry. You must arrive early in the morning at Parapat to get the ferry. The operational hour is 6 am to 6 pm.

Parapat always be the special place for holiday, getting fresh air, delicious food with a pure traditional life of Batak's people.
